After theĀ 2016ā17 season, Huesca qualified for theĀ promotion play-offsĀ toĀ La LigaĀ for the first time ever, but was eliminated in the semifinals byĀ Getafe. The azulgranas managed to play 2:2 at home, but then lost 0:3 in the away game.Ā
In theĀ 2017ā18 season, Huesca was promoted toĀ La LigaĀ for the first time in their history after winning 2ā0 againstĀ LugoĀ on 21 May 2018 at theĀ Anxo Carro stadium.
On 4 May 2019, Huesca was relegated back to theĀ Segunda DivisiĆ³nĀ after only one season inĀ La Liga.
